If you are dreaming of spending a relaxing holiday in Tuscany without renouncing your comforts then you have here the perfect choice. This splendid 17th century villa is reached by entering through a majestic, imposing gate and passing through an alley of cypresses. One part of the villa has been converted into a comfortable holiday home and an apartment with independent entrance. The architecture of the house, the harmonious geometry of the garden and the beautifully decorated ceilings reveal the great past of this Villa, which in the 15th century belonged the ship-builder family Costa from Genova.

In the villa annexes there are two more holiday homes: one rustico and a big farmhouse which is situated externally of the fenced garden. The property is located in Marlia, near the wonderful Villa Reale, former summer residence of Elisa, the sister of Napoleon Bonaparte. The magnificent park of villa Reale with its centennial trees and gorgeous lemon plants can be visited. The town centre of Lucca is 7 km away and the beautiful beaches of the Versilia are approximately 25 km away. Marlia is an ideal position to reach the most important historical towns of Tuscany as Florence, Lucca, Pisa and Siena or other interesting destinations such as the village of Collodi with the Pinocchio Park that appeals both to children and adults and the spa resorts of Montecatini, where the mineral mud baths were used by the Princess Marcella Borghese for its excellent aesthetic and healing properties.

Shops, restaurants and bus top (bus link to Lucca and to the railway station) are all within walking distance. In one wing of the villa the owner (she speaks English) has an apartment which she uses only occasionally.

At request there are 2 bikes at the guests' disposal.

The main villa consists of: entrance hall, large kitchen / dining area with fireplace (working), stove/oven, fridge/freezer, utility room with washing machine, authentic old terracotta pizza oven recently restored and perfectly working in the internal court with terracotta floor, small lounge (with SAT TV), 1 small single bedroom (with a small window without view facing quiet internal court), 1 utility bathroom with wc and modern shower (made of crystal).

1st floor: spacious living room with furniture in antique style and open fireplace (working), painted ceiling, 1 master double bedroom with 1 bathroom (tub/shower, bidet/wc), 2 twin bedrooms, 1 bathroom with tub/shower, bidet/wc, additional bed available under request.
The interior furnishings are in a comfortable, tasteful, unpretentious style.

Big 1500 sqm sized garden, completely fenced, large gazebo equipped with table, chairs, deckchairs and barbeque. Parking within the propriety. Mobile phone at guests’ disposal.
On the property's ground there is a small carpenter's workshop.
