How to book
1. Please make an inquiry on our website (exact indications concerning dates and number of persons are important). The rent can already be calculated on the website.
2. Important: Your inquiry is not binding!
3. Within 12 hours we verify the availability and send you a correspondent confirmation or an alternative offer. Then you can decide whether you want to book the requested accommodation.
4. In case you want to book, you have to pay the required advance payment within the indicated period (usually 3 working days). We accept bank transfer, PayPal and credit cards.
5. Once we receive your prepayment, we will send you a binding booking confirmation with the exact address of your accommodation and the contact details of your landlord.
6. The rest payment usually has to be paid upon arrival in cash to the landlord. Yet our booking confirmation will inform you in detail about this.
Important: If you don't pay the advance, your inquiry expires automatically. In this case there are absolutely no costs for you.

"Villa Matisse" is a lovely country-house located on the countryside south to Lucca, in direction of Pisa within the tiny village of S. Andrea di Compito. This is a particularly beautiful area marked by an attractive landscape cut into smooth hills and renowned for its natural springs and local olive oil. The house is semi-detached (attached on one side to another house) and has been completely refurbished with great care by the owners and converted into a lovely and spacious holiday home. On one side of the house there is a spacious and completely fenced piece of land with a beautiful pool set against the terraces of the garden (out of the ground, size 9.15 x 4.60, depth 1,30m). In front of the house there is a lovely terrace, completely fenced and equipped with a table and chairs for dining outside.
“Villa Matisse” suits ideally those who love countryside: the surroundings of the house with their beautiful landscape offer endless possibilities for hiking or cycling. There are many trails mapped by the local mountain club where you will discover unforgettable sights. In the lovely restaurants and trattorias of the area guests may dine outside and taste the delicious local specialties accompanied by the excellent local olive oil and wine. Guest should also not miss a visit to the nearby art cities such as Lucca, Pisa and Florence and to the coast, both likewise within driving distance.
Entrance on the ground floor: living room with fireplace, sofa and chairs. Kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, toaster, American coffee machine, dish washer, fridge/freezer. Dining room with a spacious dining table. Utility room with washing machine. 1 double bedroom with closet. 1 bathroom with shower (cubicle), wc and bidet.
Stairs for the 1st floor where there are: 1 double bedroom with closet, 1 studio room with sofa-bed (195 cm), a table and two chairs. 1 twin bedroom with chest of drawers. 1 bathroom with shower (cubicle), wc and bidet. 1 bathroom with bathtub, separate shower (cubicle), wc and bidet. 1 twin bedroom with closet.
Stairs for the 2nd floor (attic room): 1 double bedroom with chest of drawers, table and chairs. 1 bathroom with Jacuzzi, wc and bidet. 1 twin bedroom with closet.
The walls are painted in pastel colours, the furnishings are well cared, there are terracotta and parquet tiled floors, beamed ceilings. The bedrooms have mosquito nets at the windows.
The house has Internet connection (via mobile stick), a safe and parking close to the house.
Upon request the owner is available to give her guests cooking lessons for free + prepare a dinner with Tuscan specialties (like toasted pieces of bread as a starter, lasagne, sausages with beans and tiramisu) at the price of 15,00 € per person.
